Four things, in order of importance.

1. Synthesis

Your chart is not a list of placements. It's a system where everything modifies everything else. A Sun-Saturn square means one thing if your Moon is in Leo and another thing entirely if your Moon is in Capricorn.

An astrologer who does mostly evolutionary work is going to give you a different reading than one who specializes in traditional or financial astrology. Match the specialty to your question. If you're asking about a relationship, find someone who does synastry. If you're timing a launch, find someone who does electional astrology.

For a written reading, expect 8–15 pages of synthesized analysis, not a 40-page template dump. Length is not quality. A focused 10-page reading that answers your question beats a 30-page document that describes every placement in isolation. What you're paying for is the synthesis, not the word count.

Can I just use ChatGPT to interpret my chart?

You can, and the output will sound confident. The problem is it's wrong often enough — on aspect interpretation, on house systems, on transit timing — that you can't trust any single statement without verifying it.
