Richard Tarnas is Professor Emeritus and the founding director of the graduate program in Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness at the California Institute of Integral Studies, where he taught for thirty years. His 2006 book Cosmos and Psyche: Intimations of a New World View is the foundational text of archetypal cosmology and received the Scientific and Medical Network Book of the Year Prize in the UK.
