Dennis Flaherty is a founding member and longtime President of the Council of Vedic Astrology and the founder of the Northwest Institute of Vedic Sciences in Seattle, where he has consulted and taught Jyotish for more than twenty-five years. He succeeded Dr. David Frawley as the second CVA President in 2004 and has been re-elected for multiple subsequent terms. He has received the Jyotish Brihaspati from CVA, the Jyotish Medha Prabha from ICAS, and the Jyotish Nava Ratna from ACVA.
